HopeSprings is a not-for-profit, intersectional magazine geared toward women/femme-aligned people who are chronically ill and/or have disabilities. It was founded in hopes of bringing awareness to their lives and voices. Our mission is to create a community for those usually isolated and a safe space to share and read up on experiences, advice, and current political happenings. The name, HopeSprings, comes from the common saying “hope springs eternal,” since hope is a key element of getting through any hardship. Those who are chronically ill and have disabilities have hardships that last a lifetime, and hope helps us look to the future and what we can achieve, despite and in spite of our illness/disability. HopeSprings is still in its early stages, but is ready to take on the world.
